EcoRobotik’s 2026 Super Sorter Robotics Competition is on April 11! Students will design, program, and operate a robot to sort objects while building creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills.

Hosted by EcoRobotik Foundation

The Super Sorter Robotics Competition is proudly created and hosted by the EcoRobotik Foundation, a nonprofit organization (501C3) dedicated to expanding access to STEM education and robotics innovation.

While EcoRobotik Learning Center operates the instructional programs, training sessions, and robotics kits, the Foundation is the official organizer and producer of the competition event.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE
March 1, 2026 for all ages

OBJECTIVE
Ages 8–18 (Level 1 & Level 2):
Students will have between 6–12 weeks to design, build, and program a Super Sorter robot. The more time they have, the more comfortable they will feel with their robot and the more they can customize it to match their strategy and style for competition day.

Ages 5–7 (Little Bots):
Over approximately 6 weeks, students will participate in a beginner-friendly robotics challenge focused on basic programming, movement, and problem-solving using age-appropriate robots.

HOW IT WORKS
Ages 8–18:
Level 1 and Level 2 students will begin designing and building their Super Sorter robot during their regularly scheduled classes. Current members who register early will work on their own personalized robot, while new members will build a foundational robot in preparation for competition day. Students will continue improving and customizing their robot each week leading up to the competition event on April 11, 2026.

Ages 5–7:
Little Bots students will begin their competition activities during their regularly scheduled classes. They will program, test, and refine their robot weekly in preparation for the competition event on April 11, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be a member for my child to compete in the Super Sorters event?

Yes. A current EcoRobotik membership is required for all students participating in the Super Sorters event.

  • Ages 8–18 (Level 1 & Level 2):

    • Current members: May register for the competition immediately and will begin building and programming their own robot during regular class time.

    • New members: Please choose your weekly time slot and enroll in a membership (level 1 $149 & level 2 $169) no later than March 1, 2026. This ensures your child has sufficient time to build and program their foundational robot before competition day. After enrolling, you may register separately for the competition.

  • Ages 5–7 (Little Bots):

    • Current members: May register right away and will begin preparing their robot during regular class time.

    • New members: Please choose your weekly class time and enroll in a Little Bots membership ($149) no later than March 11, 2026 to allow enough preparation time before the event.

The sooner a student enrolls, the more time they will have to design, build, and refine their robot before competition day.

If my child isn’t participating in the competition, what will they do during the weekly classes leading up to the event?

They will still design and build a Super Sorters robot along with their peers in a group format (but just skip the competition day and they won’t keep their build).

How do I know if my child is ready to participate in a competition?

We understand that the word “competition” can sound a little scary — however, we’ve designed this event to be a fun and supportive experience without pressure! The Super Sorters competition is a great opportunity for students to show you their hard work.

Where does the registration fee go?

The Super Sorter Competition has two registration options:

$179 Full Registration
